School Curriculum Policy
Overview
By curriculum we mean all the planned activities that we organise to enrich experiences, promote and optimise learning, personal growth and sound development. We believe children learn a lot of lessons from the way they are treated and expected to behave. So we pay utmost attention to the hidden curriculum and promote best practices.
Students and their learning needs are at the centre of effective curriculum planning and assessment. This principle enables us and the teachers to devise experiences to develop lifelong learners and responsible citizens. This element is underpinned by a shared set of values and clear purposes for teaching and learning.
Our meticulous, well planned curriculum combined with high quality teaching guarantees that children are supported to be well rounded, empathetic young individuals who have a genuine life long quest for learning. We do not compromise on basic morals, values and ethics and ensure children develop a strong sense of morals and display respect for themselves and other people around them at all the times. These values are not only introduced but also inculcated by making sure they are depicted through the ethos of our school.
We not only teach but NURTURE our children on their learning journeys and encourage them to be independent, unique, flexible and tolerant individuals who are culturally aware and robust. We prepare children to survive not only in their country but also the wider world.
We believe in activity based teaching and learning and students achievement, engagement and well-being is at the heart of everything we plan and conduct in school. We ensure each child is heard and valued in school.
We resolve to develop learners who are creative, resilient, adaptable, critical thinkers who are ready to play a positive role in as the citizens of the world.
